"We are so grateful to Faith"

"We are so grateful to Faith from Heartsake Photography for capturing such meaningful photos of our cat Journey, who has terminal cancer. She was incredibly patient, kind, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She suggested beautiful spots around our home with great lighting and never rushed the process."

This isn't just a photo session, it's an experience

I don't expect your dog to sit perfectly, look at the camera, or behave like a model. I want to capture the real relationship you share, the goofy moments, the quiet ones, the chaos, and all the little things that make them them. I'll guide you through the process while letting your dog set the pace, so you can relax, have fun, and simply enjoy being together.

So, you might be asking

"How does this whole thing work?"

Let's talk

We'll start with a conversation about you, your pet, and what you're dreaming up. We'll figure out the session details together and make a plan that feels right for you.

time to create

This is where the fun begins. I'll let your pet set the pace, follow their personality, and give them plenty of time to settle in. No forced poses, just you, your pet, and some pretty damn good pictures along the way.

bring it home

Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive your complete collection of images to enjoy and share. Digital files are available for download, and I’m always happy to help you choose artwork for your home if you’d like.

"Faith brought my vision to life, plus some. I wanted to give my dad pictures of his dog Romeo who is terminally ill. She was a delight to meet and was so great with Romeo. Thanks again Faith" 💛

Do you have a question

When should I book my session?

The short answer is now. If you’re thinking about booking a session, I’d rather get you on the calendar than have you wonder if you waited too long. Some dates and seasons fill faster than others, especially weekends and fall sessions, so booking early gives us the most flexibility when choosing your date, location, and the kind of session you have in mind.
But if you’re reading this thinking, “Crap, I should have booked sooner,” don’t panic. Reach out anyway! I’ll always do my best to find a date that works.

What if my dog doesn't listen?

That's okay. Seriously. Your dog does not need to know a single command or sit perfectly for the camera. I work with dogs of all personalities, energy levels, and attention spans. We'll work with who they are, not against them.

What if my dog is reactive or nervous?

That’s okay. I always suggest a consult first so your pup can meet me without any pressure to perform. We’ll give them time to check me out, settle in, and decide that I’m not nearly as weird as I look. From there, we’ll work at their pace and make whatever accommodations they need.

Where do the sessions take place?

I am happy to work with you to determine the best location to bring your vision to life.

How long does a session take?

A typical session is 30-60 minutes and it depends on your pet. There won't be a stop watch running so you can relax and just have fun knowing we will be working with your pets comfort level

Can I be in the photos too?

Absolutely! In fact, I love capturing the relationship between you and your pet. You don't have to know how to pose or feel comfortable in front of the camera. I'll guide you through it and capture the little moments that feel like the two of you.

What should I bring

While I am typically pretty prepared you know your pet best. Bring their favorite treats, toys. A leash and collar because safety first and any other props you may want incorporated with their photos.

What if I have multiple dogs but they wont sit together

I have a few tricks up my sleeve for this! I can create a group image even when your dogs absolutely refuse to cooperate and sit next to each other. Sometimes they don’t even have to be in the same spot—or the same frame—to end up together.

What happens after the session

Typically, I’ll send a sneak peek within a few days. Your full gallery is usually ready within 2–3 weeks, depending on the amount of editing needed. Once your gallery is delivered, you’ll choose your favorites and decide how you’d like to enjoy them. You can download your high-resolution images, order prints directly through your gallery, or work with me to choose the perfect artwork for your home.

Can you photograph pets with special needs?

Absolutely. Just let me know what accommodations your pet needs and we’ll plan around them. My goal is always to work within their comfort level while still creating beautiful images that feel like them.
